My condition was bad and getting worse. I had blood clots in my legs; there was swelling, and it was extremely painful. I couldn’t function on my own. I needed help and fast—before my situation deteriorated even more. Buffalo Center answered the call. When I first came to the Center I was bedridden, but the therapists and nurses worked wonders. Occasionally I got frustrated, but they never lost patience with me. They encouraged me and always treated me with respect. It wasn’t just the therapists, though. The doctor answered all my questions, the activities were great—we had fun and laughed a lot—and even the housekeeping and social work staff were there for me. It was a wonderful experience, and thanks to Buffalo Center, I’m back home, on my own two feet!
